The juried Artist Trading Card site I belong to has swaps called PAT or Pick-a-theme.
You join a group of 5 artists and pick a theme of art you would like for them to create for you and you create art for their themes. Then you mail them to the host of the swap. In return I will receive 4 pieces of original art in my theme!
Recently I joined 2 groups and these are the pieces I’ve created for the swap: (click to enlarge)
So every artist in my group will create their version of my theme in their style of art. And I’ll create 4 pieces of art for each group – one for each theme they have chosen.
This is like art lessons for me. It’s an assignment, homework. It makes me to try something new. It makes me draw.
