Cat vs Art Doll I made some "art dolls" using sculpy for the faces and tassels for the hair. Can you just imagine what fun tassels are for kittys? Watch as Max looses her mind like it was made of catnip or something! The last image you can see a wild look in her eyes! I just made it loop once, so to view it again, just refresh the page. |
Sleeping sisters It was a dreary, drippy, chilly day. Max was on the patio once and tried to eat the ponytail palm. But it was wet out and so the kittys came inside and played with their favorite toys - the plastic rings from water bottles. Max likes to pick it up in her mouth and drop it in my cup of tea for some reason. Anyway, they jumped high and ran fast up and down and through the house and wore themselves out. |

 Aug 13 - Max was supposed to be modeling with my pile of trick-r-treat bags and Halloween envelopes I'm preparing for the Halloween Swap I'm hosting. But it was late and she wanted to just close her eyes for a moment. Photo below taken Aug. 12th.

July 29 - It's so fun scrolling down to see these photos and seeing the kittehs get younger and younger. Originally when I stole these 2 early from the feral cat that had kittens under my dads house in the country, my intent was to find a home for one and I keep the other. My nephews school teacher decided to take one after they were finished bottle feeding and were on solid food (the cats, not the school teacher). Well, I started becoming attached to both. One day after they had fought hard and played hard they fell asleep in each other arms. I saw this and realized there was no way I could separate these two! I gave my sister in law the hard job of telling my nephews teacher he would have to visit the SPCA instead. By the way, I didn't just "steal" them. After bringing food to the momma for a few days, she allowed me to sit close to her while she ate (canned mackeral bribe). I would pick up a kitten and keep it near her, then pick up another. At one point she put her mouth on my hand but didn't bite down. The day I took the 2 kittens, I bribed her with more fish and talked and talked to her while holding a kitten by her. I told her what I was doing and how happy and well fed they would be. I asked if she wanted to go too but she just wasn't ready. She finally let me pet her head but that was it, couldn't make a move to pick her up or she'd take off. She was a beautiful total gray cat with yellow eyes. My 2 kittys are having a happy, lucky life. They are happy, healthy, raw food kittys and I feel sad I couldn't take their litter mates too. But a couple weeks after I brought these home and the other babies were up and around - they were as wild as the mom and I couldn't get near them. I can't save all the kittehs of the world, but I can save two! |
 July 13 - Kittys like to be on top of things in the art field... Well, their new names just haven't stuck yet. I still refer to them as "the brown one" and "the light one." Guess it just hasn't been long enough, they still feel new to me.
